Privacy Policy

Evolved Hybrid
Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We've kept it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, just call or email us.

Who we are

Evolved Hybrid is a sole trader business run by Nick Bridgland (ABN 24 819 025 207). We supply and install SPC hybrid floating floors for homes and businesses across Brisbane and South East Queensland. We're based in Murarrie QLD.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Evolved Hybrid. "You" means anyone who visits our website, asks us for a quote, or uses our services.

The Privacy Act and this policy

Australia's Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out how personal information should be handled. Some small businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are exempt from the Act. Whether or not that exemption applies to us, we choose to follow the APPs as good practice, because we want you to feel comfortable trusting us with your details.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote, schedule and complete your job, and to keep in touch about it. This may include:

  • Contact details: your name, mobile and other phone numbers, and email address.
  • Location details: your suburb and service area, and the address of the property where the work will happen.
  • Property and job details: the rooms involved, your current floor type (for example carpet, tiles or timber), stairs, skirting, access notes, preferred timing, and the flooring range or colours you're interested in.
  • Measurements and photos: floor areas and room measurements (from you, or taken by us at the measure), and photos of your floors, rooms or site that you send us or that we take while quoting or doing the work.
  • Quote and job information: your estimates, quotes, bookings, invoices, payments, warranty details, and our notes and messages with you.
  • Website and advertising data: basic technical information such as your device, browser, approximate location, pages visited and how you arrived at our site (for example from a Google search or a Facebook ad). See Cookies and tracking below.

We don't need sensitive information (such as health or financial account details) to do our job, and we ask that you don't send it. Payment is made by bank transfer or other methods shown on your invoice. We don't collect or store credit card numbers on our website.

You can ask a general question without giving your name, but we will need your contact details and the job address to quote and book a measure.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you:

  • Use the Instant Quote tool on our website. The estimate is calculated in your browser as you go. When you press send to book your free measure and quote, the details you entered (name, mobile, email, suburb, job area, the options you chose, your estimate, preferred time and any notes) are passed through a secure web service and sent to Nick as a text message (SMS), so he can call you back quickly. If sending fails, nothing is sent and you'll be asked to call or text us instead.
  • Call, text or email us.
  • Message us or interact with us on Facebook or Instagram, including through a Meta lead form (see Meta (Facebook and Instagram) lead ads below).
  • Contact us through Google, for example by calling, messaging or leaving a review through our Google Business Profile, or by clicking one of our Google ads.
  • Meet us for a measure and quote, or while we're doing the work.

Sometimes we get information from other people, such as a builder, real estate agent, property manager or family member who refers you or organises the work. Where that happens, we'll only use it for the job you've been referred for.

Why we use it

We use your information to:

  • prepare and send your estimate and quote
  • book and confirm your measure, delivery and installation dates
  • carry out the work, and order the right flooring and materials
  • send invoices and receipts and keep our accounts (we use Xero for quotes, invoices and bookkeeping)
  • follow up on your quote, answer questions and handle warranty claims
  • ask for feedback or a review (for example a Google review) after your job is done
  • send you occasional updates or offers, if you're happy to receive them (you can opt out any time)
  • measure and improve our website and advertising
  • meet our legal and tax obligations.

Photos of your job. We sometimes use before-and-after photos of our work on our website and social media. We'll ask your permission first, and we won't show your address, your name, or anything that identifies you or your home.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We only share it when we need to run the business or when the law requires it.

Our team: Nick, and the people who help him (for example our admin support and installers working on your job), can see your details as needed to do the work.

We also use trusted service providers who store or process information for us:

Provider What we use it for
Xero Quotes, invoices, payments and accounting records
Squarespace Hosting our website
Cloudflare The secure web service that passes Instant Quote requests from our website to our SMS provider
ClickSend (our SMS provider) Delivering Instant Quote leads to Nick by text message
Microsoft 365 and Google (Gmail) Email
Google Google Ads, our Google Business Profile, Google reviews, website fonts and website measurement
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Our Facebook and Instagram pages, Messenger, lead ads and the Meta Pixel

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and handles information on our behalf to provide their service.

We may also share information with:

  • flooring suppliers or delivery companies, where needed to deliver your order to the site
  • our accountant or tax agent
  • a builder or property manager you've asked us to work with
  • government agencies, courts or others where the law requires or allows it.

Cookies and tracking

Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser.

  • Website cookies. Squarespace uses cookies so the site works properly and to give us basic visitor statistics.
  • Google tag and Google Ads conversion tracking. We use the Google tag to see how people find our website and to measure whether our Google ads lead to enquiries (for example when someone sends an Instant Quote request or taps our phone number). Google may use cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser, and the pages you visit.
  • Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform and to show our ads to people who may be interested in them, including people who've visited our website. The Pixel lets Meta collect information about your visit and connect it to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one.

We use this to count and improve our ads. We don't use it to identify you personally, and we don't send the details you type into the Instant Quote form (such as your name or phone number) to Google or Meta.

Your choices:

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) lead ads

We may run ads on Facebook or Instagram that include a short form (a "lead ad" or "instant form"). If you fill one in, Meta collects the details you submit, such as your name, phone, email, suburb and job details, and passes them to us so we can contact you about your quote. Meta may pre-fill some fields from your account, and you can change them before you send.

We use these details in the same way as any other quote request, as described in this policy. Meta's own handling of the information is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.

Marketing and opting out

We'll only send you marketing messages (such as occasional offers or news) if you've agreed to it or would reasonably expect it, for example as an existing customer. Every marketing email or text we send will tell you how to opt out, and we follow the Spam Act 2003.

You can opt out at any time by replying "STOP" to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or telling us by phone or email. Opting out of marketing won't stop messages we need to send about your quote, booking, invoice or warranty.

After a job, we may send you a one-off request for feedback or a review. You don't have to leave one, and if you'd prefer not to be asked, just let us know.

How we store and protect it

Your information is stored electronically in our business systems and accounts (such as Xero, our email, our phone and our SMS provider). Any paper notes from a measure are kept securely and entered into our systems.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or changes. These include using reputable providers, password-protected accounts and devices, limiting access to the people who need it, and making sure our website's Instant Quote service only accepts requests from our own site.

We keep your information for as long as we need it to quote, complete the job, and handle any warranty or follow-up. We keep business and tax records (such as invoices) for at least 5 years, as Australian tax law requires. When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to delete it or make it de-identified.

No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll let you know and take steps to fix it, in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where it applies to us.

Overseas storage and disclosure

Several of our providers (including Xero, Squarespace, Cloudflare, Microsoft, Google and Meta) use cloud servers that may be located outside Australia, such as in the United States, Europe, New Zealand or other countries where they or their partners operate. This means your information may be stored or processed overseas.

We choose well-known providers that have their own privacy and security protections. By giving us your information, you understand it may be handled overseas in this way.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it's wrong, out of date or incomplete. Just contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm who you are first.

We'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge to ask. If we can't give you access or make a correction (for example because the law doesn't allow it), we'll tell you why in writing.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first:

We'll take your concern seriously and aim to respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new service. The latest version will always be on our website, with the date it was last updated.
